Ilena Woerner, Director of Compliance

Ilena Woerner brings over two decades of hands-on healthcare experience, with a career rooted in patient care and advanced surgical coordination. She began her journey as a Medical Assistant straight out of high school, where she spent eight years developing a strong foundation in clinical support, patient interaction, and front-line medical operations.

Her passion for specialized care led her to ophthalmology, where she quickly took on a dynamic role working in both the clinic and the operating room. Over the years, she built deep expertise in pre- and post-operative processes, surgical scheduling, and billing management. Ilena’s keen eye for detail and natural leadership qualities earned her the position of OR Coordinator, where she managed daily surgery schedules, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, and ensured procedural efficiency.

Now stepping into her role as Director of Compliance, Ilena combines her clinical insight with a sharp understanding of regulatory standards, aiming to uphold the highest levels of patient safety, documentation accuracy, and operational excellence.
